Okay so I normally hate all those “Personality Tests” but this one I actually found to be pretty interesting. Interesting enough that I would disrupt a month long hiatus to post, anyway.
So I might be a little late to the game in finding out about this test. The reason why I say this is because I’ve been visiting the Age of Conan forums a lot recently and damn near everyone has their results in their signature, so I decided to take it and I think that it’s pretty accurate. The really interesting part is taking the information provided by the wikipedia article on it and trying to apply it to various games and to which archetype the game caters.
Anyway, here’s my breakdown:
SEKA
Breakdown: Achiever 13.33%, Explorer 73.33%, Killer 33.33%, Socializer 80.00%
Oh yea, Age of Conan looks totally badass, I’ll have to leave that for another post or something.

Hehe, i got this:
KESA players are often individuals who like to feel immersed in a virtual worlds and see themselves as a great villain or crusader within that world. They seek out challenges against other players, but they are going to find all the areas of that world. They’ll often know about the best hiding places and ambush points.
Breakdown: Achiever 26.67%, Explorer 53.33%, Killer 73.33%, Socializer 46.67%
Kind of surprised that i got that much Explorer and Socializer xD

ESAK
ESAK players often see the game world as a great stage, full of things to see and people to meet. They love teaming up with people to get to the hard-to-see places, and they relish unique experiences.
Breakdown: Achiever 26.67%, Explorer 86.67%, Killer 26.67%, Socializer 60.00%
That sounds about right. I figured I’d get less Socializer than you, but I wagered I’d rank high in exploration (even though I wasn’t much of one in WoW, I am an area completionist in like… dungeons in Oblivion).
I think I’m hard to rank because my gamer DNA changes on the fly. I try to be everything all at once, and move in all possible direction almost simultaneously (Oblivion: Kaelyn, Mass Effect, etc.) trying to see and do everything I possibly can.
But sometimes I do just want to fell the big shit and venge upon some wanker that ganked me. Roleplaying is nice, but it often doesn’t provide the same vicious glee that comes with stalking some fuckhead for hours and waiting until the worst possible moment to get him back. :p

So, this is kind of sort of OT, but i went to Media Markt yesterday to grab some shit and i looked through the PC Game section.
Guess what i saw there?
Damn right i saw Conan! Guess it’s out here before the US (Is it a european production team?). Thing is, i don’t think i’ll get that version yet (Mainly because i has no money but secondly because i kinda want to play with you guys).

To me that’s roleplaying too. RP doesn’t have to come out through talking with other players, I see it as how you are able to represent your character as an actual entity in its interaction with the world. I tend to do this in singleplayer games too, like the Elderscrolls games, and, admittedly, even in GTA and other shooters :P
Hell, Chris playing Brano Brows, jumping around frantically punching anything that moves is RPing too. He just happens to be somewhat odd.
I donno, I just find everything more fun when seen from an in-world character’s eyes than from my own watching through a screen.

Jakob, I think that’s the single player Conan game that came out October of last year. I think it’s kinda like God of War in terms of gameplay.

The Conan game Alec refers to was tolerable at best :p
I took this test but my results really weren’t valid as I don’t play MMOs and many of the questions were MMO specific but I did try to answer them based on my single player RPG styles. My results were very close to Alex’s but I didn’t save them cause…like I said, not 100% valid.

Quite a good one ! In Companies the prefered test is the Myers-Briggs one that tells you how types of characters can communicate with each other.
